How to Resize the Partition of HDD in Windows XP/7/8 .

For some reason, many PC makers continue to sell computers with a single partition, regardless of how massive the storage capacity is. As a result, you find yourself struggling to adjust the partition size to augment the HDD (hard disk drive) space. While resizing the partition size isn’t impossible,

Windows 7 steps

1. Right click on My Computer icon on the desktop. Then, click on Manage. 

2. Select Disk Management within the console tree (under Storage tab
3. You will have to extend or shrink the volume size. If you want to expand or shrink the volume size, ensure you have sufficient space on the partition. Right-click on the partition and  choose Extend Volume.

4. The ‘Extend Volume Wizard’ dialog box show up wherein you would need to type the specific space amount of volume you plan to expand by. Choose the Select the amount of space in MB.Click on Next.

5. Similarly, if you want to reduce the volume, right click the partition to select Shrink Volume.

6. In case of adequate space availability, you will see a dialog box. Select Enter the amount of space to shrink and click on Shrink. 

Windows 8 steps

1. Hold and Press Winkey+R. In the Run the utility, type diskmgmt.msc and press Enter. Windows Disk Management utility will then open up.

2. Ensure you have adequate unallocated space to partition. To create the space, shrink the HDD by right clicking on the drive and selecting Shrink Volume.

3. Enter the MB amount you intend to reduce shrink the HDD space. Click on Shrink. You will see the peak amount of space available via ‘Disk Management Utility’. You can also see the unallocated space region where a foundation needs to be created to use it.

4. Right-click there to select New Simple Volume and open the New Simple Volume Wizard. Install it.

5. Assign a driver letter to the disk.

6.  Select the NTFS file system.

7. In the Volume Label, enter a name.

8. Click on Finish. You’re done!

Windows XP steps

1. Download any free hard disk partition manager software like AOMEI to resize the partition while preventing data loss.

2. Install the AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard Edition where you’ll see the various partitions.

3. Right click on a partition and choose Resize Partition.

4. A pop-up window will emerge. Take the mouse pointer on the left and drag the slider bar to the right.

5. To extend the volume, Click “OK”. You will see unallocated space behind the drive. Select that drive and drag the right handle to the right.

Note :  Understand That After Changing the Device Policy , Your Data Transfer Speed Will Increase But Make Sure You Click on ” Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media”  Before Removing Your Pendrive.

Whenever we talk about Pendrives unfortunetly to make data confidential in pendrives is so challenging .These days, Most of data sharing is dependent on pendrives. So that’s why, data security is bottleneck to a layman.So, today I’ll give you a trick to Make Hidden Partitions in Pen drive. It is so helpful to make data store secret. You will only watch these patitions in your own computer. No one can find these partitions on any other system.Before doing this trick, if you want to back up contents of pendrive, so do this job first as it’ll be formatted.   

Step1: 

First of all, you have to download USB pen drive driver.
After Download this archive file. Uncompress it on desktop and Plug in your Pendrive into your computer.

Step 2:

Right click on ‘My Computer’. Click on ‘Manage’. Computer Management will be opened.
At left panel of ‘Computer Management’ choose ‘Device Manager’. At the right panel you will see ‘Disk Drives’. Right click on your connected pendrive, choose ‘Properties’ from context menu.

 

In ‘Properties Window’, Choose the ‘Details’ Tab. Scroll down ‘Property’ Drop Down box and select ‘Device Instance Path’. It will show the ‘Value’ in the form of string of characters. Just copy it. Close window without saving.

 

 

 

Step 3: 

Open USB pen drive driver folder, which was downloaded and uncompressed at ‘Desktop’.

Open ‘cfadisk.inf’ (most probably 2nd file)  in any text editor (notepad, notepad++) .

  

Find the ‘device_instance_goes_id_here’ line, it will be located at 26th line. Select it and replace it with the string of characters that you  copied from ‘Value’ field in ‘Details’ tab of ‘Properties’ windows of connected pen drive.
Save the changes and close notepad.

Step4: 

 

Again open ‘Device Manager’ and open the ‘properties’ windows of connected pendrive. In other words, I can say repeat the step 2nd

But this time choose only ‘Driver’ tab and click on ‘Update Driver’ button.

Suddenly ‘Update Driver Software’ window will come up. You have to choose 2nd option ‘Browse my computer for driver software’.

Again In ‘Update Driver Software’ you see ‘Select the device driver you want to install for this hardware’ will appear. Here you have to deselect ‘Show compatible hardware’ and click on to ‘Have Disk’ Button and click next.

.

Step5:

A dialog box ‘Install From Disk’ appears on you screen. You have to click on ‘Browse’ button to select the ‘cfadisk.inf’ file from Universal USB Pen Drive Driver that is located at ‘Desktop’. Click ‘OK’ to save settings

 

And again ‘Update Driver Software’ will come, where Model of pendrive has shown. there you don’t need to do anything just click ‘Next’ button.
A warning message ’Update Driver Warning’ has been showing. That is given below in image. Don’t need to worry about this warning message, you have to just click ‘Yes’ 

 

Another warning message ‘Windows Security’ will appear on the screen, where you should select
‘Install this driver software anyway.

  
It will update Driver Software of pendrive. There don’t need to tense.

Step 6:

After successfully updating the driver software,
You have to partitioning of your pendrive as like hard disk. Therefore you have to right click on ‘My Computer’
and open ‘Manage’, then select ‘Disk Management’ under ‘Storage’.

 

Right click on this partition, you will see ‘New simple volume’ and click on it and create partition of your choice.

NOTE:You can create number of partitions as you like. But first partition will show on other PCs, Rest of partitions only show on your PCs only.

Method 1.

1) Go to C:/windows/system32.
2) Copy cmd.exe and paste it on desktop.
3) Rename cmd.exe to sethc.exe.

4) Copy the new sethc.exe to system 32,when windows asks for overwriting the file,then click yes.
5) Now Log out from your guest account and at the user select window,press shift key 5 times.
6) Instead of Sticky Key confirmation dialog,command prompt with full administrator privileges will open.
7) Now type “ NET USER ADMINISTRATOR “zzz” where “zzz” can be any password you like and press enter.
8) You will see “ The Command completed successfully” and then exit the command prompt and login into administrator with your new password.
9) Bravo !! Now You have hacked admin through guest account.

Method 2

This is another method you can use to hack admin password without knowing it.
It is possible to change Adminstrator password both in Win XP and Vista without knowing it. If you some how manage to login as an Administrator then you can change the password without knowing it.
Here’s the Step-By-Step instructions

1. Right-click on the “My Computer” icon on the desktop OR in the Start Menu.

2. Select the option “Manage”.
 
3. On the left pane expand the “Computer Management (Local) tree (if it is not already expanded)

4. Double click “Local Users and Groups” option From “System Tools” tree.

5. Click the “Users” option.

6. Now you will see the list of users on the right side pane, such as Administrator, Guest etc.

7. Right click the “Administrator” and select the option “Set Password” option.

8. Now you will see a warning message, Click on proceed.

9. Now the system asks you for “New Password” and “Confirm Password” .

10. After entering the password click on “OK”. The password is changed. That’s It!..

you have now successfully changed admin password without knowing it.

It is with the help of this source that it will be possible for you to hack password of the administrator account via the guest account.

What you will need? Guest account with access to write on system 32.
Procedure:

1. Simply go straight to C:/windows/system32
2. Now all you have to do is replicate cmd.exe and place it on your desktop
3. Simply rename the cmd.exe changed to sethc.exe
4. Now just replicate the brand new sethc.exe to the system 32. And when the windows ask for rewriting the file then hit the yes icon.
5. At the point of time, you are asked to rewrite , simply rewrite he sethc.exe
6. On having completed this step log out from the guest account. Come to the user section and choose window, press the shift key for about five times. Rather than making use of the sticky Key confirmation dialog the command prompt allowing you all administrator rights will open up.
7. You simply type “net-user- administrator as bbbb”. In this case “bbbb” can be any password you like. Press enter.
8. You will soon come across the words “completed successfully”. All you have to do is that you exit the command prompt. Now you are ready to login into the administrator with your new password.

Method 2

1. You will have to log on to the Guest Account of the computer system
2. Now with the help of your mouse make a right click and select Manage from the “My Computer icon”.
3. To the left of the sidebar you will be able to find the Local users as well as the Groups. Simply click it and select users.
4. It will be in the main panel that you will come across administrator.
5. Simply right click on the Administrator and click set password.
6. Create the new password and Press Enter and Enjoy.

Manually Migrating from Mac to Windows or Windows to Mac

If you're migrating to a new computer of a different type (that is, if you're moving from Mac to Windows or Windows to Mac), there isn't a simple migration utility that will move everything for you. In this case, you'll have to do it manually with an external hard drive. This is actually quite simple to do, and since you don't have any settings to move, you don't really need an extra utility—it's just a matter of drag-and-drop.

The first thing you'll have to do is format your drive to work with your old computer. If your old computer is a Windows machine, plug it in and right-click on its entry in Windows Explorer. Hit the "Format" button, and choose NTFS as the file system. A Quick Format is fine; we just need to make it compatible with this computer. Note that this will erase anything currently on the drive; so make sure it doesn't have anything on it you want to keep.

On a Mac, open up Disk Utility from /Applications/Utilities and find your external drive in the list on the left. Click on it, and then hit the "Erase" tab on the right. If you have any files over 4 GB (like movies), you'll need to format it as "Mac OS X Extended (Journaled)", otherwise you can choose FAT32. Hit Erase. Again, this will erase everything on the drive.

Next, open up the newly formatted drive in your file explorer (Windows Explorer on Windows, Finder on the Mac). Open up another window in your file explorer and head to your user folder. On Windows, your user folder is located at C:\Users\Username, and on a Mac you can access it by clicking on your username in the Finder sidebar. For example, you can open up the Documents folder on your external drive, and drag all those files to the Documents folder on your new computer.
